Paella Experience was founded with a simple goal: to bring the joy, connection, and communal spirit of traditional Spanish paella to life at your most meaningful celebrations.

Our culinary philosophy is rooted in honoring centuries of Spanish tradition. We prepare paella as it is crafted by renowned chefs throughout Spain—especially in Valencia and Alicante —where the dish is both a cultural centerpiece and a craft perfected over generations.

Using the highest-quality imported ingredients alongside fresh, organic produce and proteins, we apply authentic techniques learned firsthand in Spain. This commitment to quality and tradition has earned us multiple awards, including recognition from culinary judges and People’s Choice honors at paella competitions.

Our Story
Clyde’s journey with paella began during the three years he lived in Spain, where he developed a deep appreciation for the country’s culture, cuisine, and the communal experience of gathering around a pan of paella. Learning alongside friends and dining at exceptional local restaurants, he quickly became captivated—not just by the dish itself, but by the tradition and joy that surround it.

After returning home to Half Moon Bay, Clyde continued to share that passion by joining the board of Sonrisas Dental Health, a local nonprofit. There, he created Cooking for a Cause, a paella demonstration and dinner fundraiser that brings the community together in support of a meaningful mission. More than 12 years later, the event continues to thrive, welcoming over 100 supporters each year for an evening of great food and giving back. Paella Experience continues to support schools and non-profits.

As Clyde began to step away from the corporate world, he saw an opportunity to turn his passion into something more—combining his love of cooking paella with creating memorable, joyful experiences for others.
